- The primary reason why programs on your PC do everything themselves is
- that they were designed for Windows 3.1, which can not multitask a
- bit. So, if you want to do something, you must have one program that
- handles all the aspects of the task.

- A multitasking system, such as a UNIX platform or an Amiga, can split
- the task into its component parts and have a specially designed
- utility for each of the parts. This, while it may be a bit harder to
- set up for the first time, is called modularity, and makes the system
- as a whole much more flexible.

- In the case of Voodoo, you're free to use any method of mail receiving
- and delivery, and Voodoo won't force you to keep around or see any
- extra stuff you are not interested in, since that's all part of the
- underlying software designed for that task.
